Dear readers,

Thank you for reading us on-line and in print. We've got some exciting improvements in the Bradenton Herald and On May 18, you will notice some changes in our print and digital products.

You will see an updated typeface, improved section headers, cleaner look and larger, more pertinent photos & graphics.

We’re also reorganizing our content to enhance our communication to you of written and visual storytelling across our digital platforms, from desktops to smartphones to laptops and tablets. Upgrades to the digital experience continue.

Why? Our strategy is to meet your needs and communicate in a relevant manner. We will present news and our award-winning journalism, taking advantage of the strengths of each platform with more analysis and perspective in print, and more videos, photos and easy-to-scan breaking news in our digital editions.

The Local pages are now inside the A-section every day. The new In Depth section, available Wednesday and Sunday, will shed light on important topics and issues in the community, as well as answer deeper questions about what’s in the news.

Here is what isn’t changing: our deep commitment to keeping you informed and engaged, celebrating our community, and shining a light and making a difference.

We hope you will enjoy these updates to our products as we position our company for the future. As always, thank you for reading us in print and on-line.
